Wheel Brake Parking Valve

The WBPV is responsible for the setting of the H/C brake system from the normal braking configuration to the parking braking configuration. WBPV is actuated through a lever directly linked with the WBPL that in turn receives the parking braking command from the pilot.
With an opposite command on the WBPL, the WBPV will shift from parking braking configuration to the normal braking configuration due to the reset spring of the WBPL.
The main components of the WBPV are below listed:
– Manifold, made aluminium alloy 2024.
– Actuation Lever made of 15-5 PH Stainless steel.
– Camshaft, linking WBPV Actuation Lever to both line valves at two stages type.
– Micro switch, equipped with Connector, which sends signal according to the braking configuration activated.
– Two Check valves with thermal relief, allowing pressure relief during parking braking from WBA to WBMC, in case of overpressure occurring for excessive increase of temperature.
– Two check valves, that during normal braking action prevent fluid displaced by WBMC from entering the WBPV Accumulator.
– Two Accumulators, working on separately line one per each WBA assisted.
– Two pressure switches, reading pressure on each WBA relative line.
